Bonitata Winery

Bonitata Boutique Wine prides itself on attention to detail. Each wine is handcrafted and barrel-aged then bottled at the right moment to deliver that special taste to your palate. Our grapes are hand picked from vineyards located in the Sierra Foothills. The grapes are picked just at the right balance of sugar, ph, and acid to produce a very special wine.

Bonitata Boutique Wine is located in the original Bernhard Winery founded in 1874, located at the Bernhard Museum in Auburn, California, adjacent to the Gold Country Fair Grounds. This historic building is made of stone with two-foot thick walls which are partially buried into the hillside. The perfect storage for our handcrafted wines. After enjoying your wine tasting, you can take a tour of the rest of the museum.

Double Oak Winery

Celebrating more than 30 harvests from our 4.5 acres of deeply rooted mountain vineyards, Double Oak is an artisan winery producing delicious fine wines and a family farm practicing nature-friendly sustainable farming. We produce award winning, estate grown, small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Dry Rosé and Late Harvest Zinfandel. Double Oak wines are full-bodied, yet well-balanced and complex. We welcome visitors to our beautiful ridge-top setting for wine tasting and sales, picnicking, tours and winery events.

Fawnridge Winery

The Perry's have been avid wine lovers for thirty years. After living in North Lake Tahoe for fifteen years they moved to Auburn in 1989. The couple raised sheep together and cared for their property overlooking the Sacramento Valley. Upon learning that local grape growers were bringing back the grape and wine industry as it was during the historic Placer County Gold Rush era, they decided to develop vineyards on their property. With the help of friends they planted Barbera and Syrah in the summer of 2002. Stewart and Stephanie are personally involved in every aspect of the vineyard management and wine making process. They are committed to making Fawnridge Winery a world-class success and have received numerous awards for their quality wines. You're invited to visit Fawnridge Winery and enjoy the wonderful views.

Gray Pine Vineyard & Winery

Named for the native California Gray Pine which is prevalent in our area, Gray Pine Vineyards & Winery is a small, limited-production winery located in Penn Valley, in the Sierra Foothills, with an annual production of approximately 350 cases. We grow our own grapes on our two-acre vineyard and make our own wines. Specializing in Bordeaux red varietals, Gray Pine Vineyard & Winery produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. We also offer a limited quantity of Sauvignon Blanc. We believe that fine wine is best enjoyed with fine meals and our winemaking focus is on food-friendly wines with balanced acid and tannins, in the classic Bordeaux style.

Mountain Ranch Winery has been making high quality, limited production wines since 2004. Some of our wines include Icarus (108 yr old vine zin blended with 120 yr old vine Carigane), Mountain Ranch (76 yr old vine Zinfandel), 50+ yr old vine Barbera, Sangiovese, Petite Verdot, Stags Leap reserve cabernet, and much more.

Owner Bob Hoffman's wine business experience spans over 35 years, and he has sold wine in almost every state in the USA. To go along with the wine, his fiancée Lisa makes amazing pottery in here studio here on the property. It is on display and for sale in the tasting room. Our tasting room is set up to welcome people like they are coming to our home. The grounds are beautiful, and our bocce ball court is ready for you to enjoy.

Mt. Vernon Vineyard and Winery is a small family owned and operated winery nestled in the grassy foothills of Auburn California. The Taylor family transforms Sierra Foothills Grapes into outstanding lush aromatic wines, with riveting fruit flavors fit for a President.

The winery offers a majestic view and relaxing atmosphere. Believed to be the largest winery in Placer County since prohibition, Mt. Vernon offers an exceptional wine and many unique blends that will captivate your taste buds.

Established in 1996, Mt. Vernon is pioneering the production of many foothill grapes including Old Vine Zinfandel, Syrah Port, Barbera, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gold Country Nectar and a Sur-lie aged barrel fermented Chardonnay is joining the Mt. Vernon Collection.

Nevada City Winery is a popular choice with locals and visitors alike offering an approachable broad selection of award-winning wines, hospitable tasting room, art gallery, gift shop, and relaxing outdoor covered patio for your enjoyment.

We have a diverse selection of wines that can be enjoyed in a tasting, by the glass, and the bottle. Guests are welcome to sit and relax in our tasting room, gallery, or on the patio. Our gift shop has a wonderful selection of wine-gifts and accessories, cheeses, and other treats to enjoy during your visit. Our barrel room and production facilities are on the premises and located directly below the tasting room enabling us to offer tours and crush related events. Our gallery hosts a different local artist each month and is open to the public free of charge. You are invited to join us for the opening art receptions held 5-7pm on the first Friday of every month.

Szabo Vineyards is a boutique winery that produces wines made exclusively from our estate-grown grapes. Our philosophy stems from the premise that "great wines are made in the vineyard." Owner/Winemaker Alex Szabo, personally tends to all aspects of wine production from the vineyard to the bottle.

Our vineyard offers award-winning Primitivo, Petite Syrah, Syrah and Zinfandel varietals made from our sustainably grown grapes. Our first Rhone-style blend, "Voilá", was released in 2011.

Viña Castellano Winery

Nestled in the rolling hills of Auburn amid farmland and horse ranches, Viña Castellano's pristine vineyard is surrounded by stone walls and pastoral views. Longtime Placer County residents, the Mendez Family, have been building this estate for over 40 years incorporating the spirit of their Spanish heritage and history.

The Estate Vineyard and winery was added in 1999 and now produces a spectrum of Mediterranean wines, including their beloved signature and award-winning Spanish varietals.
